Michelle is an award-winning filmmaker and creative strategist specializing in artist-driven original content with over 20 years of experience in independent film, television and digital media.
As a filmmaker with a passion for independent film and championing artists, Michelle has developed, raised financing for and produced multiple award-winning feature films, including the critically acclaimed, Sundance Award-Winning film NANCY — starring Andrea Riseborough, Steve Buscemi, J. Smith-Cameron, John Leguizamo and Ann Dowd — distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films and nominated for 2 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Other indie film credits include producing the sci-fi drama WE’VE FORGOTTEN MORE THAN WE EVER KNEW (awarded Best Feature Film at the Rome International Film Festival and distributed by The Orchard) starring Louisa Krause, Aaron Stanford and Doug Jones as well as producing the feel-good comedy GROWING UP SMITH, winner of multiple audience awards around the world, starring Jason Lee, Hilarie Burton Morgan, Roni Akurati and Poorna Jagannathan.
Michelle has developed and produced multiple serial content slates for Instagram and L’Oréal Paris, and produced music videos for Yoko Ono, Paramore, The National, and other multi Grammy-winning artists. Her digital media work has received billions of views and she has collaborated with global brands and media giants including Google, Cartier, Visa and NFL.
Some of her social impact work includes producing a series of short documentaries, powered by Google, featuring intimate portraits of allies and members of the LGBTQ community across America; and directing a short documentary for iCivics — a nonprofit providing civic education to students across America lead by Justice Sonia Sotomayor and founded by Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
Through her work, Michelle advocates for social change behind the scenes and on the screen by combining her love of storytelling and imagination with her passion for creating empathy through art.
