Michelle Cameron / Bio
Michelle Cameron is an award-winning independent film producer known for shepherding artist-driven features from development through global distribution. She produced the Sundance Award–winning feature film Nancy, which earned two Film Independent Spirit Award nominations and starred Andrea Riseborough, Steve Buscemi, J. Smith-Cameron, John Leguizamo and Ann Dowd. Additional credits include the sci-fi drama We've Forgotten More Than We Ever Knew (Winner, Rome International Film Festival) and the comedy-drama Growing Up Smith (Winner, Woodstock Film Festival). Cameron also worked on Debra Granik’s Academy Award–nominated Winter’s Bone and David Cross’ Hits.
Beyond features, Cameron has directed and produced across music, branded content, and large-scale live visual experiences, producing Paramore’s Grammy Award–winning “Ain’t It Fun” and Yoko Ono’s “Bad Dancer” and has led creative for major festivals like Coachella and Stagecoach. Her original digital content for partners including Instagram, Xiaomi Global, and L'Oréal Paris has generated billions of views worldwide, with collaborations including Google, Cartier, Visa, NFL and the Tory Burch Foundation. Cameron also served on the New York Advisory Board of iCivics under the leadership of Justice Sonia Sotomayor, where she directed the documentary Do I Have a Right?, and continues to support storytelling initiatives that pair cinematic ambition with cultural impact.
